Cousins on the farm

Hi there scrappy friends! Don't know about you but I love Fridays! Lol! Just to show how joyful I am because its Friday, I'm going to share a layout today! This is for a technique challenge set by my scrappy friend Sue over at Scrapbooking Top 50. We had to handmake our title and include a page border and a flourish.

I've machine stitched the grid lines as my page border - definitely won't do that in a hurry again. I love how it came out but it was such a big job getting rid of all the loose cotton strings hanging everywhere. :-0 The photo is of my DD and her two cousins on the farm in December 2007. I had a lot of fun with this one using some of my favourite Basic Grey Curio papers. The birdcage is from Scrapware and the flowers are from an old Prima line. The flourish is from Kaisercraft. All products can be found here.
A close up of my embellie cluster.
And a closer look and my handmade cork title. :)
I'm hoping to complete another layout this weekend.
Thanks for popping by my little blog and for your lovely comments.
Hope you have fantastic weekend!

I've scrapped!

I've been neglecting my poor little blog for a while now. A lot going on in our household at the moment. DS will be starting Uni for the first time next Monday. :) Great excitement but a lot of preperation.
I did manage to get two layouts done over the weekend. The first one is for Handmade by Suzanne using the Kaisercraft 'Seaside' collection. I just love the colours in this range and the chippies that come with this range are devine. I thought these papers were perfect for this pic of my DD during taken on her fist surfing lesson about 3 years ago. All the products used are available at Handmade by Suzanne.
A close up of the printed chipboard and canvas tag. Some more chippie goodness.
The next one is for one of the monthly challenges at Scrapbooking Top 50. Its a sketch challenge set by Vicki and we had to include at least one heart. The pic is of DS taken last year. Lol! I thought it might be nice for his kids to be able to look at this one day and see how technology has changed. :) I've used MME 'Alpahabet Soup' pattern papers and various October Afternoon and Basic Grey mini alpha stickers for my journalling. All products available here. The little black mobile phone was cut on my Silhouette machine.
Thats all for today. I'm hoping to be back soon with more scrappy stuff to share. Have a great week.
Until next time.

20th Anniversary

Hi all my scrappy friends. I've done some more creating this weekend. This is another layout using the fabulous Kaisercraft 'After Five' Collection. This time I used a pic of DH and myself on our 20th wedding anniversary last year. I thought to add a bit of red to make it a bit more modern. The black and white doilies were cut on my Silhouette machine.
All the products used are available at Handmade by Suzanne.
A close up of the flower cluster. Those Kaisercraft paper blooms are just devine!
Lol! And my new MS punch got a work out again. :)
and I just love these little alpha stickers from Basic Grey. They are great for long titles!
And a card I made with some of my left overs. The black 'Band & Bow' ribbon is just perfect for anything formal looking.
That's all for now. I hope you've all enjoyed a great weekend with your families. Have a great week and thanks for popping by my little blog.

...my wonderful parents got married! When I received my DT pack from HBS this month I decided that the 'After Five' Collection from Kaisercraft is perfect for my parents wedding photos. I love using these papers and got another idea or two up my sleeve. ;)
A close up of the embellie cluster. Can you spy my latest MS punch??? I think you're going to see this one a couple more times in the future. :)
A close up of the transparency that I've cut up and the gorgeous Kaiser craft wooden hanging plaque.
All the products used are available at Handmade by Suzanne.
I've been a bit bad lately with updating my blog and visisting yours. Time just seems to be running away from me these days. Next week is looking a bit better, so I hope there will be more to blog about soon. Will try and catch up on all my favourite blogs over the weekend too.
Take care and have a wonderful weekend!
Until next time.

My take on it using the gorgeous MME Fine and Dandy 'True Blue' collection. This range is on special at Handmade by Suzanne for less 30% at the moment!!

My little boy

I've decided to play along and do Get Picky's Inspirational Challenge this time. All you have to do is create a multiphoto layout and use the words of Bob Dylan's song 'Forever Young' to inspire you. I love the challenges over at Get Picky but for some reason I never get around to do them.
I've used My Mind's Eye 'True Blue' pattern papers and chippies. You can find it here. I'm a bit disappointed with the photograph of my layout as the colours are all wrong. It shows all blue and it should be teal. I've tried to take the photo in different places but with no luck. :(
The photos are of my DS when he was 7 months old. He used to love unpacking all the magazines from the bookshelf. So cute (then)... that was 17 years ago! The pics aren't the best but that was before digital cameras, etc. Still like scrapping the old pics though.

Here's a close up of my journalling and embellie cluster.
And a close up of the phrase I used out of Bob Dylan's song 'Forever Young'.
That's all for today. I hope you are all in a safe place.
God bless.
