... since my last blog post. Life just seems to be getting in the way of my scrapping lately. Lol! I've been meaning to scrap for at least 10 days now, but there is always something else to do.
I do have one layout (that I finshed over a week ago) to share with you. This one is for the August 15th sketch at 'Stuck Sketches'. Here is the sketch:
And here is my take on it. I've used the Websters 'Spring Market' range that I've had in my stash for a while. The pics are of my DS and my friend's little girl. He loves little kids and is really just a big kid himself. :)
A close up of the flower cluster. I cut the butterflies using the Cheery Lynn Designs 'buttefly' die. The leaves were cut using the Cheery Lynn Designs 'Pair of Fern' dies.
All the alpha stickers for the title is from the Websters 'Spring Market' collection.
Another close up. Just look at the fun on that cute little face. :)
That's all for today. I have a few things to do before the end of the month and will probably be back then to share.
In the meantime, you still have a few days to enter the August sketch challenge at 'The Scrapbook Store'. You can read all the latest news here.
Thanks for visiting and have a lovely week.
Until next time.

BIG changes and a DT call!
Happy Monday everyone! Hope all is good wherever you are. :) Just the usual house cleaning and washing for me today. :( I had a lovely day with the girls on Saturday. Wasn't too productive, but got a few layouts done. I only have time to share one today though. Stuck Sketches are celebrating their 5th birthday this month. I have decided to play along with their #1 Bonus sketch. Here is the sketch.
... and my take on it. I've changed the position of my photo as it suits better that way. I have used the gorgeous Basic Grey 'Clippings' collection from my August DT kit from Handmade by Suzanne. The pic is of my DS and his 'not so serious attitude' to life, which can be very frustrating at times. Lol!
I love how I could cut up some of the pattern paper to form the chevron pattern. The alphas for the title are all from the chipboard stickers from this range.
I also tried out my Crafters Workshop 'Chevron' template with some Texture Magic and love it! So easy to apply!
Until next time.

Our Autumn Escape
Hi everyone! I thought I would be back much sooner, but life gets in the way sometimes you know. :) Hope you are having a good week so far.
I have created another layout with my DT kit from Handmade by Suzanne that I want to share with you. Love the colours in the Basic Grey 'Clippings' collection. I thought it would be perfect for this photo taken during our anual April holidays. This year we were lucky enough to have my mum and aunt with us as well.
I simply adore these new flowers from Manor House. The word 'Escape' is a Scrap FX wordlet that I first inked in brown and then roughly painted Gesso over it using my finger. Love how 'beachy' it looks. The rest of the title was done using the chipboard stickers in this collection. The green leaves were cut using my Cheery Lyn 'Pair of Ferns' die and the chipboard branches are from Scrapmatts.
I've used my Crafters Workshop 'Cosmic Bubbles' template and an ink pad on the background. The butterflies are old ones from my stash. I think they were from 'Collections'.
I'm hoping to be back soon with more to share. We're having a scrappy day this coming Saturday, so hoping to have lots to show after the weekend. That's if I can manage to talk less and scrap more! Lol!
Hope to see you at your blog soon. Thank you for visiting.
Until next time.

Over the moon...
...to have received the Basic Grey 'Clippings' collection from Handmade by Suzanne this month. I love this collection. It's so versatile. Here is my first layout. I have based my page on the sketch for Vicki's Sketch challenge at Scrapbooking Top 50. The pic is of a friend's little boy. He is such a cutie. :)
The flowers are a mixture of Manor House Creations and Prima and the leaves were punched out using my Martha Stewart 'frond' punch. The title is from Scrap FX.
The quote is a Kaisercraft rub on.
I've coloured a Martha Stewart doily using Glimmer Mist and the chipboard sticker is from the BG collection.
That's all for today. I'm off to get dinner ready for the family. Hope you are having a good week.
Thank you for visiting my blog and for the lovely comments. I love reading them.

August sketch at Handmade by Suzanne
Happy Sunday everyone! Hope you are having a great weekend. :)
Handmade by Suzanne has a new sketch up for August and it's beautiful! Nadia does the best sketches.
Here is my take on it. I've use the Kaisercraft 'Miss Match' collection for it. Right at the top of my page, I've used my Crafters Workshop 'Cherry Blossoms' template with some Texture Magic. After drying, I sprayed a layer of Glimmer Mist over it to make it stand out a bit more. The pics are of my friend's little girl when she was about 6 months old.
The flowers are all from Prima and the rhinestone flourish is from Kaisercraft.
Do you see that white doily? I've cut that from the packaging that the Prima flowers came in. The butterfly was cut using one of my Cheery Lynn Designs 'Exotic butterflies' dies.
You have until the end of month to get your entry in for the August Sketch challenge. Why not give it a go? You can win a $40 store voucher with free postage! Imagine all the yummy new CHA goodies you can buy with that! Best of all... anyone can win, as the winner gets determined by random draw! Hope to see your take on the sketch in the gallery soon. :)
That's all for today! Thanks for visiting my blog and enjoy the rest of your Sunday!
Until next time.

Scrap the girls has a new challenge and a new CT!
Hi everyone! I am so behind on my blog posts. It's been a crazy week, but I won't bore you with the details. :) I am thrilled to say that I'll be on the Scrap The Girls Creative Team for another term! It's been great working on this fabulous team. Such a bunch of talented scrappers. The announcement has been made yesterday. You can see who else made the team and their gorgeous creations HERE. Check out the new challenge for August while you there. You have to use 'stars' on your layout. Super easy hey? Just remember, girls only! :)
Here is my example. The pic is of my DD and her bestie on Halloween last year. I've used the Kaisercraft 'Miss Match' collection.
The bigger flower is from Prima and the smaller one is a Kaisercraft Mini paper bloom. The leaves were made using my Martha Stewart 'Rose Leaf' punch. Oh, and don't you just love the Kaisercraft rhinestone/pearl strips? So easy to use too.
All the die cuts and stickers are from the same collection.
The stars were cut using a Cuttle bug die.
That's all for today, but I'll be back in a day or two with more layouts to share. Thank for visiting my blog. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.
Until next time.
