Scrappy stuff to share

I've got 2 layouts to share. The first one is my take on Anthea's Sketch Challenge over at Scrapbooking Top 50. I've used the Petal Pusher range from Bo Bunny for this. I love the bright colours of these pp's. The photos are of my DD and one of her best friends.
This one was for the Recipe Challenge set by Sue during the CC at Scrapbooking Top 50. I've used the 'Lucky Me' range from Little Yellow Bicycle here. The photos are of my DD and I before she went on her River Cruise in June. All products used for these layouts can be found here.
I hope you are all having a great weekend! Thanks for visiting and for your lovely comments. They are very appreciated.
Until next time. M xox

Stuck?! layout...

...using the August 15th sketch. I print out all the beautiful sketches form Stuck?! every month but don't seem to get around to doing one very often. I'm aiming to change that though. :)
I've used Kaisercraft 'Lush' pattern papers and embellies for this with added 'bud and bow' ribbon, half pearls, embroidery thread and AC 'Niki Riki' Thickers. You can find all the products at Handmade by Suzanne.
I always enjoy working with Sara's sketches and hope to do more in the very near future.

Oliver

It's turned out to be quit a week for us (again!). After complaining of tummy ache late on Sunday afternoon and hardly any sleep on Sunday night we landed up at the ED at Murdock hospital and DD (15) having her appendix removed at around 9.30 pm Monday night. Just in time too! She came home yesterday afternoon and all is going well. :) Lol, I think I had my fare share of surprises for a while.
I've got a couple of layouts to share that I've done for 'Handmade by Suzanne' using the Basic Grey 'Oliver' range. I love the colours in this range and the chipboard stickers are amazing! This is an old photo I had lying around and I thought these papers where perfect for it. The little 'Place, Date and Name' tickets are from Jenni Bowlin Studios and are perfect for recording those essential details on you layouts. All products can be found here.
I thought I'll get in early and make a Fathers Day card so long. Lol, its very unusual for me to be so organised.
This is the gorgeous sketch created by DT member, Natalie, for the 'August Sketch Challenge' at HBS. Why not give it a go? You can win a cool prize! Find the details here.
This is my take on it using 'Oliver' again. The photo is of my DS and my DH fooling around just before DS went to his Year 12 Ball.
Okies, that's all for today. Hope you are all having an awesome week and lots of time to scrap. Thanks for popping by and take care.

Up, Up and Away...

Hi everybody. I'm back with another layout and card I've scrapped over last weekend. Just haven't had time to blog again. :( Still trying to visit everybody else's blogs too and am slowly getting there...
This is another DT layout for HBS. I've used the 'Up, up and Away' range from Kaisercraft and an old photo of DD and I that was taken 13 years ago. I so miss her being so little. She's 15 now and although a lovely teenager, she's not 2 anymore. *huge sigh*
I love these pattern papers and the printed chipboard buttons and balloons are to die for. The little envelopes are just too cute too. All products used are available in store here.
A card made with the left over papers.
I hope you are all having a great week. Thanks for visiting and for all your lovely comments. It makes my day every time!
Take care.

I'm back...

I'm back at last! I can't tell you guys how good it feels. It's like I've been living someone else's life for the last month. Lol, it wasn't quite that bad... I'm just suffering from extreme scrapping withdraw!!! For everybody thats wondering what kept me so busy during the last 5 to 6 weeks, I'll give you a quick update. We bought a unit that was in serious need of a total make-over and everything happened so quick that there wasn't too much time to think. There were a lot of dust, very early mornings and late nights and too many tradesmen to remember. We are getting to an end now and hopefully the unit will be ready to go on the rental market by Monday next week. I just hope we can find a tenant soon... then we'll be able to relax a bit. All a bit too stressful for me.
Well, my 'boss lady' over at Handmade by Suzanne was all very understanding (Thanks Suzanne!) but its back to bussiness for me now and back to my DT responsibilities (and how I've missed it!!) I've done my first layout for HBS using the brand new Kaisercraft range called 'Hippy Girl'. I love the colours in this range and the printed chipboard and journalling tags are great. The very cute butterfly is from Jenni Bowlin. All products used are available here.

A card made from the left overs. And another Jenni Bowlin butterfly.
I promise I'll be back soon with more to share. I'm also planning on catching up on everybody's blogs by the weekend. Wish me luck!
Hope you are all having a wonderful week and thank you so much for visiting!

July sketch

I'm sorry! I know I've neglected my blog and my scrappy friends. Life is very hectic at the moment and will still be for the next 2 weeks or so, but I promise that I will check up on everybody's lovely work as soon as I get a chance.
I'm just doing a quick post (that was meant to be done over a week ago!). This is the July sketch for Handmade by Suzanne and was created by HBS's quest designer Natalie Elphinstone. It's a lovely sketch and leaves a lot of room for your own interpretation of it. Why not give it a go and you might win yourself a $20 gift voucher!
This is my take on the sketch. I've used an older Kaisercraft range called 'Pina Colada'.
Handmade by Suzanne has just received a whole lot of stunning new products. You can check all new products out here.
Okay dokies. That's unfortunately all for now. Thanks for popping by and have a great week!

Little Angel...

Hi there all my scrappy friends. I've got 2 layouts to share that I finished over the weekend. The first one is for the Scrapbooking Top 50 CC Challenge. I just love this photo of my friend's little girl with her angel wings. Isn't she just the cutest? I've put 'her' words in the speech bubble explaining how the ladies that scrap with her mommy once a week always dress her up and make her laugh and wanting her to clap her hands. She is such a happy baby. I've used some older MME papers that were hanging around waiting for the right photo. :)
This is one for one of Scrapbooking Top 50's monthy challenges set by Sue. The photo is my DD with my friend's 2 much younger kiddies. She loves them to bits and has no problem entertaining them.
Okie dokies, that's it for now. Will hopefully be back soon with more to share.
Hope you are all having a great week. Thanks for stopping by.

My Family

I managed to find time over the weekend to be creative but then we ran out of sunshine here in Perth on Monday and Tuesday so I couldn't take a photo of my creations. I was so happy to see the sun this morning that I grabbed my camera straight away before it dissappears again. Lol, it stayed all day. Typical!!
Well, here goes... I've used the new 'My Family' collection by Fancy Pants for this. I just love the colours in this range. I've cut white lace in half (length wise) and sprayed it with Chalk Glimmer Mist to get the right colour and used some of the rub-ons on natural twill. Lol, one of my new MS border punches got a bit of work out as well. All the product used can be found at Handmade by Suzanne.
I'm very organised this year and have made a Fathers Day card with the left overs. Lol, normally I do it the night before.
And now for some great news! Handmade by Suzanne is having a Stocktake Sale right now. You get 25% off absolutely everything in store!! Go and check it out. You won't be sorry!

I don't know about you but I'm starting to feel the winter weather. It was below 3 degrees in Perth last night... Brrrrrrrrrr! I think we're in for another cold night tonight.
I've got a quick layout and card to share that I did as part of my DT work at 'Handmade by Suzanne'. I got to play with the new Kaisercraft range called 'Le Chateau' this month. I just love the colours in this range and that die-cut paper is devine. My DD took the photo of DH and I during our recent holiday down south. Oh, and I also had a play with my new Martha Stewart punch... yummy!!! Oh, and the crocheted flower in the bottom left corner was made by ME!
All products used are available here.
This is a card I made with the left overs.
And a close-up of my handmade flower.
I hope you are keeping warm. Thank you for popping by and for all your wonderful comments. Its always very much appreciated. Have a wonderful weekend!

June Sketch and layout

My poor little blog has been very neglected. It was not by choice. Life just got a bit in the way these last few days. Lol, I won't bore you with the details. I'm sure you all know the feeling...

It's time for Handmade by Suzanne's June Sketch Challenge. Here is the sketch (from PageMaps) to be used for this month's inspiration. Why don't you give it a go? You could win yourself a $20 shop voucher to be spend here.
Here is my example. I've used the 'Rusted Sun" range from Fancy Pants. All products are in store here. Photos are of my DS on one of the local beaches here in Perth.
I'm sorry I haven't visited your blogs lately but will make a point of catching up on the weekend. Hope you have a good one and thanks for popping in!

CC Challenges

I hope you had a great weekend with lots of time to relax and stay warm.
Just want to do a quick Monday share of challenges I've done over the weekend for the Top 50 Cyber Crop. All the challenges were based on movie posters with some extra criteria added. I've managed to complete 3 of the 4 challenges.
Here is my take on challenge 1. We had to use the 'Avatar' poster as inspiration here with added criteria of it being at least 50% blue, using a head shot photo and dots/spots. This is one of my most favourite photos of DS (taken by my dear friend Kathy) just before his Year 12 Ball.
My take on challenge 2. This layout had to be inspired by the 'Alice in Wonderland' movie poster and had to contain the following added criteria: layering, a handmade flower and a butterfly. I used quite an 'old' photo of DD here taken about 10 years ago when she was still attending kindy.
My take on challenge 3 had to be inspired by the 'UP' movie poster with added criteria being: used a minimalist/white space appoach, bright colours and a one word title. Had fun with the glimmer mist here (he-he).
This was DS after he injured himself practicing his parkour skills on some rocks while we were on holiday about a month ago. Boys!!
I hope you have a great week! Thanks for visiting and for all you wonderful comments.
Take care.

Max and Whiskers

I was so excited when Basic Grey announced the new Max and Whiskers collection. I couldn't wait to get my crafty little hands on it. I wasn't going to use it with my doggie photographs at first but I couldn't resist! This piccie is of Buddy, one of our gorgeous miniature dacshunds when he was about 7 months old. All products used are available at "Handmade by Suzanne".
I've cut the scallops at the bottom of the page from felt and hand stitched along the straight edge using embroidery thread, then added the buttons before attaching it to my layout.
A card made from the left overs.
Thanks for visiting my little blog and for your always lovely comments. I wish you all a great week and lots of time to do some crafting! Take care.

A layout, a card and a reminder.

I've got a DT layout and card to share that I've done for Handmade by Suzanne. I've used the new 'Estate Sale' range from Bella Boulevard and I think I might have a new favourite! I love the colours of this range and found it really easy to use. The alphas from My Little Shoebox is stunning too. You can find all products used to create this layout here.

A card I made with the left overs. I think I'm going to have to make a few more. :) And now for a reminder!!!
Applications for the new Design Team members closes next Monday, the 10th of May. You can find all the details here. So if you are interested in joining our team and work for Handmade by Suzanne, get those applications in by Monday!
That's all for now. Until next time... Happy scrapping!!

Last minute challenge...

I've completed this layout yesterday for the April challenge at "Scrap The Girls". It was a numbers challenge. We had to use 5 buttons, 4 pattern papers, 3 flowers, 2 photos and 1 alphabet.
A close up of my crochet flowers. I love them! Will have to make more.
And a close up of my little polar bear that I cut on my Silhouette machine.
Hope you've all had a great National Scrapbooking day! Thank you for popping in! :)
