I always have great intentions to play along with the Saturday sketches at
Kaisercraft, but I never seem to get around to it. When I got my hands on some of the
'Sears & Son' collection a few weeks ago, I immediately thought of this pic I had of my dad when he was 17 years old. Then I saw this sketch at Kaisercraft the other day and thought it would be perfect. Love it when a plan comes together. :)
Here is my take on it. All products used are from this collection. I have added some hessian, cardboard, twine, a cork button and the alpha stickers.
The
wooden cogs are from Kaisercraft too. :)
A little close up of my title. I modified the 'Dad' metal title by covering it with
gesso first and then painting it with brown and black paint to give it an 'older' look.

Isn't a page so much easier when it all comes together on it's own? I love what you have done with the sketch, using that great paper. It's so stylish.
