Last post ...

...for the year. Yep. I think this is it. We are leaving tomorrow night and where I'm going there will be no/very limited internet connection. Sadly, I won't be able to scrap either. No space in my luggage for scrapping gear. Lol! At least I will have my camera with me. :)
Just wanted to share my last layout for the year with you. I've used the AC Dear Lizzy 'Enchanted' paper range for this one. I've done a bit of fussy cutting and used a couple of Martha Stewart punches. All products used are available here.
I love these pics of DD and I. She's such a sweetie. :)
And a couple of close ups.

Okay. I'm of to do some packing. I hope everybody will have a fabulous Christmas and New Year! Will 'see' you all in January! Mwah!!!

November Sketch at HBS and a great offer on Thickers!

Hi everybody! I've been MIA for a while. Life gets very hectic in my household this time of the year. I'm also leaving on a looooong holiday soon. Yay!!

Just wanted to blog about Handmade by Suzanne's Sketch Challenge this month. Our guest DT member for November, Melinda Spinks, has created this gorgeous sketch. To see Melinda and other DT examples as well as the entries so far, have a look here.

This is my take on the sketch.

And a close up. ;) Love those Prima flower centres.
So, why not give the sketch a go? You can win yourself an awesome prize!
And now for a bit of retail therapy.
"This week's phenomenal bargain at 'Handmade by Suzanne' is.... Thickers!! Suzanne is marking down All Thickers to a measly $5.75! That is between 20 and 30% off. Sale ends Friday 26 November, so be quick before all stock sells out."
That's it for now. Will be back with another post soon. Have a great week!

Do I have to?

Hi there all my bloggy friends. Woohoo, it's Friday! Just a tad happy about it being weekend. :)
Just want to share another layout I did with my DT kit this month. I've used the gorgeous 'Tinsel and Twig' range from The Girls Paperie but I deliberately did a non Christmas layout this time. The photos are of my DS during a recent photoshoot that my friend Kathy did for us. He did a lot of sighing and face pulling unaware that the camera was clicking away. Too funny! :)
All products used are available from Handmade by Suzanne.
A close up of my crocheted and felt-topped flower. (Couldn't resist putting at least one flower on my layout). :)
I've stitched my journalling strips onto the page and boy, did I have a lot of fun with that red paint! Must do that again soon...
That's all for now, but I'll be back with another layout and hopefully some cards soon. Hope you are having a fabulous weekend.
Take care.

Christmas Grinches?

Yes. It's that time of the year already and before you know it you will hear 'Jingle Bells' playing in every shop you walk into. To get us into the Christmas spirit we are all doing Christmas layouts at 'Handmade by Suzanne' this month. I've got to play with the 'Tinsel & Twig' range from The Girls Paperie. I love these papers and the sticker pad in this range is such great value for money. You can check it out here. I've also added some 'Flourish with a Bling' Metallic Vine and red pearls as well as a Basic Grey Bloomers fabric flower. I've stitched all along the lines and edges of my background paper to make it look more 'real'. There is a tiny bit of black in some of these papers but I tried to make more of a feature of this by adding black stitching and embellishments.
A close up of the stitcing and embellie cluster.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend with your families! Gotta go and get my DD from school.
Thanks for visiting my little blog. :)
