A GIVEAWAY OR 3!

About a month ago, after I had a bit of a clear out of my scraproom, I promised to have a giveaway here on my blog.  Today, I finally got around to photographing it all. :)
I've started my blog journey 3 and a half years ago and I have enjoyed every minute of it. This is my way of saying thank you to everybody who has visited me in the past and for all the kind comments and words of support I received over the years.  I appreciate all of it!
I've never done this before, so I hope I get it right.  I am not the most technologically advanced person around, in fact I'm probably the opposite (whatever that is). Lol!

The first pack has 12 patterned papers, 2 sheets of cardstock, a large diecut as well as 10 types of assorted embellishments.

The second pack contains 14 patterned papers, 2 sheets of cardstock and 12 packets/pieces of assorted embellishments.

The third pack consists out of 15 patterned papers, 2 sheets of cardstock and 13 types of assorted embellishments.

I will keep the giveaway open until Sunday, the 21st of April, so that gives you just over 3 weeks.

Prima 'Divine'

Hello there beautiful people! I'm back... finally!  Still playing 'catch up', but going better every day. :)  Hope you are all doing well and are having a great week.   I'm here to share some layouts I did with the absolutely DIVINE Prima 'Divine' collection.  The colours in this range are to die for.
My first layout is based on the Sketch #86 from Inspired Blueprints. Here is the sketch.
And my take on it.  The photo is of my DD and two friends on their way to a Rhianna concert a few years ago.
The flowers in the 'Divine' collection are super gorgeous. :)  The mini birdie house is from Dusty Attic.  I've just wiped a few layers of Gesso over it.
A close up of the flower cluster.  I've punched the leaves from cardstock, using the Martha Stewart 'Rose leaf' punch.
A few layers peeping out from under the photo. Those beautiful paper doilies are from Bo Bunny and come in 3 sizes.

For my second layout I've used a photo of my mum and dad on their wedding day (54 years ago).  Lots of cutting and inking of edges in this one.
The mini flower vine and all the flowers are from the 'Divine' collection.
I just love these large fabric alpabet stickers from Prima.
That's all for today.  I am going to make a big effort to visit all my favourite blogs later today.  I might not get to all of them, but then there is always tomorrow.
Also, watch this space as my next blog post might be my BIG giveaway! :)
Thank you for visiting and have a wonderful week!
Until next time.

New challenge at Scrap Africa

Hi everyone!  Just arrived back yesterday afternoon from our mini holiday.  It was lovely and relaxing but now it's back to the normal chores of running a household and entertaining the visitors.  By next week this time, everything should be returning back to normal and I will have time to get around and visit all my favourite blogs. :)  Thank you all for being so patient.
Well, onto the new challenge at Scrap Africa!  This challenge is about CARDSTOCK ONLY.  Head over to the blog to see all the gorgeous creations by the DT and Guest DT members.  It's amazing what you can do with cardstock only. :)
The challnge:  Use only plain cardstock, no patterned papers.  But you are asked to use at least 3 colours of cardstock or more if you want to... and these you can alter by stamping or embossing, whatever way you want to.
Here is my example.  I've used a white cardstock background and cut the 'cross word' overlay from black cardstock using my Shilhouette machine. I've used 2 shades of orange cardstock to back my photo.
Added Prima flowers and Kaisercraft paper blooms and my leaves were punched from green cardstock using my Martha Stewart 'Frond' punch.
I've used a butterfly die-cut from my stash and the small alphabet stickers are from Basic Grey.
Entries for this challenge are due at the end of March. Hope you get a chance to play along. :)
That's all for today.  Hope you are having a lovely weekend!
Until next time.

March challenge at Scrap The Girls

Hi everyone! I still haven't shared my example of the Scrap The Girls challenge for March.
I absolutely loved this one. All you have to do, is use the colours White, Black and Green in a layout. Check out the rest of the CT's stunning examples HERE for inspiration.
Here is mine.  The photos are of my friend's little girl.
I've used a variety of Prima flowers and Kaisercraft paper blooms.
 Love this chevron Washi tape.
Also used my Crafters Workshop 'Chevron' template with some Texture Magic and once it has dried I added 'Key Lime' Glimmer Mist.  The title is an old rub-on I had for ages.
So why not give it a go?!! There are some awesome prizes up for grabs!
Well, that's unfortunately all I have time for today.  Still hectic around here with the visitors and packing to leave for our mini holiday tomorrow.  Will probably be very quiet for the next week or so.  Hoping you are all having a lovely weekend and thank you so much for visiting.
Until next time.

March sketch at The Scrapbook Store

Hi everyone!  It's a very busy time for us, but we are having a wonderful time with our visitors. Unfortunately it gives me very little time for blogging and scrapping.  I've been writing this blog post for the last 3 days now. Lol!  This is just a quick post to tell you about the new sketch at The Scrapbook Store.  Here is the gorgeous sketch for March.
My take on it using an old Glitz Design collection and loads of Prima flowers. The photo is of my DD during an outing in the country one weekend.
The little birdie is a chipboard piece from Dusty Attic that I've painted white and I've cut the bird cage using a Poppy Stamps 'Vintage Bird Cage' die

I've used my Crafters Workshop 'Mini Bricks' template and Texture Magic on my background.
A variety of Prima flowers. :)
I hope you get a chance to play along. There is a $40 store voucher (with free postage) up for grabs and the winner gets determined by random draw, which means anybody can win!  All you have to do, is to upload your take on the sketch in the relevant folder in the Gallery before the end of March. :) It's that easy!
Before I go, I want to apologize to all my blog friends for my absence.  We are taking our visitors on a short holiday south of Perth next week and then we will have another week of exploring and sight seeing the week after.  I am hoping that things will return to normal after the 22nd.  I want to thank you all for visiting my blog and for your lovely comments.  I can't tell you how much I appreciate your support.
Until next time!

March Sketch at Scrap Africa

Hi everyone! What a week it's been... hectic plus! Our overseas visitors are ariving tomorrow, so I thought I better get on here, while I can. :)  A new sketch is up at Scrap Africa and it's really gorgeous!  Hope you get a a chance to play along. :)
My take on the sketch using the beautiful Kaisercraft '75 Cents' collection. I love this pic of my hubby and son (taken in 2010).
My title - a chipboard word from Scrap FX.
A close up of my embellie cluster.
If you want to join in on the fun, link your layout (based on the sketch) to the bottom of THIS post by the 14th of March. Would love to see your entries.
I better get some sleep, as tomorrow is going to be a big day.  Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have wonderful weekend!
Until next time!
