I love the sun

Hi everybody! I hope you had a great weekend. Mine was a bit quieter than usual but sometimes I like it that way.
Unfortunately I am still having Blogger problems. :(  Thank you so much to my lovely followers who left me some words of encouragement and suggestions of how to get around my comments problem. It made things a bit easier and I could even leave the odd comment here and there but I'm afraid its not fixed yet. So if you are one the people who haven't got some love from me recently, you know why. :(  I'm still trying... and hopefully I'll be able to leave you a comment soon. :)
This layout is for a Bird is the Word's challenge. You have to use the word Sun/Sunshine on your layout. I've decided that it was time to do a layout of DS and these photos of him in the wave pool at White Water World was perfect for this sunny theme.
I've used Echo Park's Splash range. You can find it at 'Handmade by Suzanne' here.
A close up of some embellies. That gorgeous heart button is from 'Lovelybug Bits and Bots'. Sue makes the cutest embellies. You can check it all out here.
A close up to show off some of the lovely masking tape that you can get from Handmade by Suzanne.
And a close up of my title and banner.
Well, I better go and try get some more housework done. Will hopefully 'see' you again soon.
Have a wonderful week!

I'm having Blogger problems

I don't know if anybody else are experiencing problems with Blogger.???  I can sign into my dashboard but I cannot leave any comments on anybody' blogs as it keeps on throughing me back to the log in page.  I am terribly frustrated at the moment!!!
Sorry, but I just had to let that out. :)  I'm hoping Mr Blogger will let me post this, because I want all my bloggy friends to know why they are not getting any comments from me.  I'm sorry... I promise to leave some love as soon as Blogger fixes the problem. I hope its soon.
Have a nice day everybody!

Marvellous Monday!

Hi everybody! I hope your Monday is a good one! It looks like I'm becoming a Monday blogger. Lol! Seems like a good way to start the week. :)
I've done a layout for Vicki's May challenge at Scrapbooking Top 50.   For this challenge we had to use lyrics from any song for the title as long as it has special meaning to the person/s in the photo. We also had to include fussy cutting and misting in more than one colour. Here's my take:
A little close up of some of the Websters chipboard buttons and my crocheted flower.
 And another one!
And a last close up (just for good measure).  I've added a bit of hessian to add to the country feel of the page. :)  My title is from the song 'All I ever wanted' by Faith Hill. My family is just that to me.
I've mainly used the Websters 'Spring Market' collection. All the products are available at Handmade by Suzanne.
Okies, thats all for today. Thanks for visiting. Hope you have a great week!

Mothers and daughters

I finally finished this layout thats been sitting half done on my desk for about a week now. (Lol! I seem to be doing that quite often!)  This one is for the Scrap the Girls' challenge this month.  The challenge is to scrap a layout based on an important female in your life. Extra criteria: more than 20 words of handwritten journalling.  Now I had no problem finding a photo of an important female in my life, in fact I have two in my photo. Doing handwritten journalling was far more of a challenge to me as I don't really like my handwriting and hardly ever use it on my layouts.  I decided to hide my journalling under my photo mat, but I had to take a pic of it to show its there. ;)
Here's a close up of the hidden journalling.
Another close up of part of my title and a little flower cluster.

And because you can never have too many close ups, here's another one of the bigger flower cluster. ;)
You can tell I still love my MS frond punch. ;)  I've used a Crafter's Workshop template to create the grass and flowers on the left. It's a bit messy, but hey, I'm still learning and still far from perfect when it comes to masking/misting.  I thought of redoing it several times but then once I stuck all the alphas down I didn't dislike it enough to want to redo it all. Lol!
I've used Kaisercraft 'Chapter One' pattern paper and stickers but wanted to add another colour, so I used two different colours of Glimmer Mist and then added some flowers in the same colour pink.  The alphas were cut on my Cricut machine.  All the products used on this layout are available from Handmade by Suzanne
I'm almost up to date with visiting my favourite blogs, but I still find it a problem to leave comments sometimes. I hope blogger fixes it soon.
Thanks for visiting a have a great day!

Tranquillity

Well, I thought I couldn't let the Monday go past without doing a post.  Lol! I haven't actually scrapped much at all during the last week (to my frustration) but I still had this layout lying on my desk since last week. :)
I did this one for the  Kraft It Up challenge this month. The challenge is to use no pattern paper and obviously a kraft background. I've decided to go with this photo that my DH snapped of me in December. I was sitting on this tiny little chair in the garden on my brother's farm. I grew up on that farm and I just love it there.  Living so close to nature really agrees with me.  :)
I've used a combonation of 2 different Crafter's Workshop templates to create the branches, birdies and birdcage at the top of the page. The border sticker at the bottom is from Pink Paislee and the birdbath is Dusty Attic. All the products are available from Handmade by Suzanne.  The tree and the grass were cut on my Silhouette machine. :)
That's all for today. I'm hoping to get some more layouts completed soon. If I can just get rid of this tired feeling. *yawn*
Have a wonderful week everyone!  Thanks for dropping by and for all the love you leave behind. I really enjoy reading your lovely comments.
Until next time!

123 Challenge

I'm back... with my take on the 123 Challenge!  The challenge this month is to use the colour RED, the word FUN and the technique STITCHED TITLE.  Now doesn't that sound like fun??
Here is what I came up with.

This is my DD just before she went on 'The Claw' ride at Dream World 2 years ago! She was so scared but once she did it, she wanted to go again and again! I've used some older Sassafras 'Monstrosity' papers and that green monster is from an old October Afternoon collection called 'Night Light'.
A close up of my stitched title.
Once I got going on the felt, I loved it so much... I kept going. Lol!!
Cut some stars too! :)
I had a lot of fun doing this and am quite pleased with how it turned out. Why don't you give it a go? There's some awesome sponsors this month!!
I've got another challenge waiting to be posted soon! Will be back in a day or two.
Thanks for visiting and for your lovely comments! Hope your week is wonderful!
Till next time.

May's sketch and layout

I hope you had a wonderful Mothers Day yesterday. I had a great day. My two cooked a yummy breakfast and allowed me to scrap a little too. Lol! Considering that DH wasn't here all day, they did really well and apparently we are redoing Mothers Day next Sunday!! DH returned from his business trip in the Philippines at 1 am this morning. *yawn* I couldnt fall asleep until about 5 am and then had to get up at 7.30! I'm just a little tired today. :)
Just wanted to let everyone know that I haven't fallen off the face of the earth... Lol! I actually finished some layouts during the last week but didn't have the camera to take pics of them.
I'm only sharing one today... Handmade by Suzanne's May Sketch designed by our own Michelle Fowler. She designs the most stunning sketches, don't you think?
Here is my take on it. I've used the beautiful Kaisercraft 'Chapter One' collection for this. All the products are available here.
And it just won't be the same without a little close up. ;)
Now, why don't you give it a go?  You can win a $30 store voucher and anybody can win. Just have your layout done before the end of the month and upload into the HBS Gallery here
Well, that's all for today. *yawn* I'll be back in a day or two with some more layouts to share.  I'm hoping to have a little time later tonight to visit all my favourite blogs too. Have a great week everyone!
Until next time.

Chapter One

I've been a bad blogger this last week, but I was having fun anyway! With the long weekend and DH at home for the whole week, we were quite busy. Even went down south for 2 days without the kids. :)
Then I was up this morning at 5 am to take DH to the airport. Anybody who knows me will know that its not easy to get me up that early. Lol!! I wil rise, but I refuse to shine... :)
I have managed to complete a layout with my brand new Handmade by Suzanne DT kit using one of the latest Kaisercraft ranges called 'Chapter One'. The colours of this range is beautiful and I thought it was perfect for this pic of my DS and his girlfriend on their way to her Year 12 Ball in January this year. It was such an incredibly hot day (around 44 degrees) but they still managed to look gorgeous! :)

And a little close up of some of the beautiful Maya Road small organza roses ribbon and the May Arts satin pleats trim. The flowers are Prima Sugar blooms and Kaisercraft paper blooms.  All products are available here.
That's all for today! I hope your week has started well. I'm hoping to get a bit more scrapping in. Just got to get the housework up to date.
Until next time.
