So Sweet....

Hi everyone and happy weekend to you all! The weather here in Perth is just fantastic today. :)
I have another layout to share with you all.  This one is based on Sketch #89 at Inspired Blueprints.  Just love Lisa's sketches. :)  Here it is.
My take on it using the Simple Stories 'Vintage Bliss' collection.  I was so happy to receive this beautiful collecion in my DT kit from The Scrapbook Store this month.  The photo is of my friend's little girl when she was only a few months old... so sweet.
I've used an assortment of Prima flowers, Kaisercraft paper blooms and Green Tara mini roses and finished it off with leaves that I've cut using the Poppy Stamps 'Lorelai Leaf' die.
I have recently purchased the gorgeous Prima 'Cicular Lattice' mask and used it here for the first time Love the look of it. :)
That's all I have for today. Hope to be back soon with something else to share.  Thank you for visitng and have a beautiful weekend!
Until next time!

Create a project, using Black and White photo's, Triangles and Confetti.
My take on the challenge using 2 old photos of my DH and his sister taken in 1966. Weren't they just too adorable?!  I have used my April DT kit from The Scrapbook Store to create this.  All the papers and embellishments are from the Simple Stories 'Vintage Bliss' collection.
A close up of  my confetti.  A couple of Green Tara mini roses and leaves punched using the Martha Stewart 'Frond' punch.
The alpha stickers are from this collection too.
Another little close up, showing my 'triangles'. :)   Love these Bo Bunny paper doilies.
Hope you get a chance to play along.  Just link your entries at the bottom of THIS post over at Scrap Africa before the end of the month to be in the running for an awesome prize!

Special Moment and a reminder!

What a beautiful day it was in Perth today!  I am loving the milder weather and a bit of soft rain added on the side. :)  Just want to share a layout I did based on the 1st April sketch over at Stuck Sketches.  I love playing along at Stuck whenever I get the chance.  Here is the sketch.
My take on it, using the Simple Stories 'Vintage Bliss' collection. Love the colours in this collection! The photo is of my my mum, myself and DD taken in 2008.  As we don't see my parents very often, this was indeed a very special moment. :)
All the flowers were cut from one of the sheets of patterned paper in this collection and the little birdhouse is from Dusty Attic.
I've also used my newly purchased Prima 'Damask' stencil and some Texture Magic to create a bit of interest on the background.
I'll be back soon with more creations using this beautiful collection.

Now for the REMINDER. :)  Would you like to win one of the following packs in my current GIVEAWAY?  Then go HERE to find out how?

That's all for today! Got to run, as we are meeting with friends for dinner.  Thank you for visiting my blog and I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!
Until next time.

Beautiful Bride

If you have missed my GIVEAWAY, you will find it HERE.

Hi everyone! Today I want to share the April Sketch Challenge at The Scrapbook Store with you.  Here is the sketch. Gorgeous hey?
My example using the beautiful Prima 'Tea-Thyme' collection (currently on special in the Prima Clearance section of the shop).  The photo is of my aunt on her wedding day, nearly 58 years ago.  I wanted to create a bit of a romantic vintage feel. :)

My little cluster.  I've used an old crocheted doily, a little Prima resin window, some flowers and buttons from the Tea-Thyme collection, Kaisercraft mini paper blooms and I have made two of the roses using my Die-namics Mini Royal Rose dies. The rose leaves were punched from one of the patterned papers using my Martha Stewart 'Rose Leaf' punch.  The cream crocheted lace is from Green Tara and the strip underneath was punched using one of my Martha Stewart border punches .  Just added a row or Kaisercraft 'pearl strips' to finish it off.
A close up of my other little cluster. More Prima flowers and a heart button, finished of with leaves that I cut using the Cheery Lyn 'Pair of Ferns' die.

I'm hoping you will get a chance to play along. There is a $40 store voucher up for grabs and it includes free postage. The winner gets detemined by random draw, so all you have to do, is enter!! Just upload your entry into the correct folder in the gallery before the end of April.  You can find inspiration from the rest of the DT members here.

That's all for today.  Thank you for popping by.  Have a happy happy week!
Until next time.

April challenge at Scrap The Girls

If you are here for my GIVEAWAY, you will find it HERE.

Happy Friday everyone! The April challenge is up at Scrap The Girls! This month you have to use the following on a layout:
Buttons
Paints/Mists
Hexagons
Just remember....  GIRLS ONLY!
Check out the CT's beautiful examples HERE
Here is my example.  The pic is of my DD and her friend, while in Bali.. I'm slowly catching up on my Bali photos. :)
A few close ups of the details.  The wooden bicycle is from Kaisercraft.  I've painted it red to match my layout.  The words around the outside of my layout were stamped using white paint. :)
The hexagons were cut on my Silhouette machine.
There is also white paint around the outside of the orange paper.
I hope you get a chance to play along. I can't wait to see what you do with this challenge.
I will be back in a few days to share another layout with you.  Thank you so much for visiting and have a wonderful weekend.
Until next time.

April Sketch at Scrap Africa

If you have missed my GIVEAWAY post, you can find it HERE.

April already hey?!  I hope you didn't get fooled today. :)  I usually fall for some or other April's fool joke, but not this time... hehe. :):)  This year is proving to be a very busy one already and it seems like I am constantly playing 'catch up'.  I thought I would get a lot done this long weekend, but we had too much fun! Lol!!
Before I go to bed, I quickly need to share the new sketch at Scrap Africa with you.
Here is my take on it.  I've turned the sketch on it's side to accommodate my photos.  The photos are of my DD and her friend taking 'selfies' of their blue tongues in the back of the taxi in Bali.  They loved Pepsi Blue as it's not available here by us.  The papers and embellishments are from the beautiful Glitz Design 'Yours Truly' collection.

A close up of the frame and giant rhinesteone. Love these. :)
Some rosettes I've made using my Tim Holtz rosette die, finishing it off with more giant rhinestones.
I hope you get a chance to play along.  The prizes are awesome!  Just link your layout to the bottom of the post on the Scrap Africa blog here.  You have until the 14th of April to get your entries in.
I'll be back soon with more challenges to share.  Thank you for visiting and have a great week!
Until next time.
