Maja Design 'Vintage Autumn Basics'

Hi everyone! Hope the new week brings you lots of joy.
Today I want to share a layout I've done using my DT kit from The Scrapbook Store.  I simply love the quality of the Maja Design papers.  Here I've used the 'Vintage Autumn Basics' collection.
I've used the Crafters Workshop 'Mini Brick' template and white embossing paste on my background, then painted on some diluted Glimmer Mists in brown and pink to match my papers. The title is a chipboard phrase from Scrap FX.

I've also used 2Crafty 'Clock Face frames' and 'Summer Leaf Stems' which I painted white and then inked the edges. The flowers are Petaloo blooms and the gorgeous resin angel is from Prima.

More Petaloo blooms and 2Crafty 'Summer Leaf Stems'.

A last close up showing off more of the finer detail. :)
That's all I have for today.  I'm off to bed now to get some much needed sleep.  Thank you so much for visiting my blog and for the lovely comments you always leave behind.  I appreciate it.  I apologise for not being so blog active myself... time just seems to be getting the better of my these days.  I remain positive though. :)
Have a great week everyone!
Until next time.

Scrap Africa Challenge No 29

Hi everyone!  Hope you are enjoying a relaxing weekend wherever you are.
Today I want to share Scrap Africa's new challenge with you.  The card makers will love this one!
The challenge is to create a masculine AND a feminine card.  For wonderful inspiration from the DT and to get all the details, have a look HERE.
I have used the Maja Design 'Vintage Autumn Basics' collection for my cards.  It's a stunning collection with the most beautiful soft patterns.  I've added a Prima resin birdhouse and Prima button, as well as a Petaloo bloom and some Green Tara mini roses

I've used the brown tones of the collection for my male card.  Just added a 2Crafty 'Clock Face frame', a few Tim Holtz metal gears and a couple of die cuts. All products are available at The Scrapbook Store.

I hope you'll get a chance to play along.  There are some awesome prices up for grabs.  It will be great to see your entries.
Thank you so much for popping past my blog.
Until next time!

May Sketch challenge at The Scrapbook Store

Hi everyone!  Today I want to share the May Sketch Challenge at The Scrapbook Store with you.  For a while now I've been pondering with the idea of designing my own sketches, but just didn't know where to start.  With the help of my gorgeous scrappy friend Denise van Deventer, I finally got on my way and in no time I was totally addicted.  To get to the point... I am now the new sketch designer for The Scrapbook Store!  I hope you will like what I've done and will play along.  There's a $40 store voucher up for grabs and  it includes free shipping!  You've got until the end of the month to get your entries in.  To see the rest of the DT's gorgeous creations and to upload your entry, go HERE.
Here's the May sketch.
And my take on the sketch using the Glitz Design 'Carpe Diem' collection.  The photo is of my friend's little girl when she was only a few weeks old.
The deer, the phrase sticker and the hearts are all epoxy stickers from the 'Carpe Diem' range.
Love these cork heart stickers from the American Crafts 'DIY Shop' collection.  I've cut the title on my Silhouette machine.
Here's another layout I've done with this collection.  The photo was a 'selfie' taken on the night of my son's actual 21st birthday.  We were on our way out to dinner.  I've used one of the new Prima stencils called 'Floral Rose #2' and scraped over with some texture paste using an old credit card.  Once it dried, I put my stencil back into place and wiped on some colour using my Prima chalk inks.
I've used a variety of Prima flowers from my stash and a few of the die cuts from the 'WhatNots' pack from the 'Carpe Diem' collection.
That's all I have for now.  I'm busy working on some projects, so will hopefully be able to share soon.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog.  I appreciate you taking the time to do so.
Until next time!
