Blue Fern Studios 'Timeless' for The Scrapbook Store

Just wanted to grab this short break in my schedule to share my February DT work for The Scrapbook Store. Wow! It's almost the end of March I hear you say!!  I know, the first few months of 2016 have been so very busy already and I've got so much more planned for the rest of the year! :)
Okay, straight to the point then. ;)  I got to work with the stunning new Blue Fern Studios 'Timeless' collection.  The first layout is of my gorgeous girl and I. She was busy taking selfies of the two of us during our recent holiday, when my husband snapped this pic of us. :)
I simply love this 'Floral Arrows Crossed' chipboard from Your Creative Wings. I've coloured it up using my ink pads and then added some muslin and a few mini roses to the mix.
Here I've built a little cluster using more of the same elements and the same chipboard set, but also added a charm and a Kaisercraft bloom.  I've added some Prima 'Micro Beads' in Bronze using Prima '3D Matte Gel'.  The butterfly was cut from one of the patterned papers.
The title is from the Dusty Attic 'Mini Captions #3' chipboard set.  I love these gorgeous small titles.

More roses in all forms and sizes, repeating elements from the other clusters.
The following layout is of my dear mum and I during our visit to them in December.  We live more than 9000 km apart and every moment spent together is perfect and very precious.
My cluster are made out of Petaloo 'Forget Me Nots' in Antique Mauve and a big Green Tara 'Azalea' in Antique Pink. I've also added Craft Consortium resin florals in 'Rose Blush' and a few white Green Tara mini roses.  I've cut the leaves from one of the patterned papers using the Memory Box 'Fresh Foliage' die.
I've fussy cut some flowers from one of the papers to add to the bottom left corner. Also added a strip of Green Tara lace and a Kaisercraft pearl strip underneath the photo. :)
One of my favourite doily dies must be this one from Cheery Lynn called 'French Pastry'.  It complemented the rest of the design and all I had to do was add the title.
This card was made using some of my left overs.  I love adding corrugated cardboard to my projects and it perfectly matched these papers and the gorgeous Green Tara 'Linen Look' trim.  The sentiment was cut using the Elzabeth Craft Design 'Happy Birthday' die.
That's all I have for now, but will be back to share my March layouts soon. Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my blog. Wishing you a wonderful Easter.

Until next time.

Ultimate Crafts 'Australiana' for The Scrapbook Store

Hi there scrappy people. Today I want to share my October DT work for The Scrapbook Store with you.  I was lucky enough to work with the gorgeous new Ultimate Crafts 'Australiana' collection.  This collection was ideal for my local travel photos and all those country shots we always take.
Here is my first layout. The photo was taken on the way between Perth and Kalgoorlie earlier this year.
I used a chipboard flourish from the 2Crafty 'Flourish Adornment Set 1'.  I painted it in dark brown and then heat embossed it randomly using gold embossing powder.  The white flowers were fussy cut from one of the patterned papers in the range. The other flowers are from Petaloo and Green Tara mini roses.
I added some corrugated cardstock to add to the rustic feeling. ;)
And a vintage clock charm and some twine to round things off.
I've also coloured up some Dusty Attic 'mini dragonflies' with my Distress markers.
My next layout has a bit more colour to it.  This was the first holiday home we rented in Margaret River 10 years ago when my parents came to visit us.  It really was the perfect 'little' house and we still think very fondly of this holiday.  All the background stenciling were done using the gorgeous new Crafters Workshop 'mini Tuscan Wall' stencil, designed by the very talented Gabrielle Pollacco.
The bigger flowers in the cluster are Kaisercraft paper blooms and the little ones are from Petaloo and Green Tara mini roses.  I've added another chipboard flourish from the 2Crafty 'Flourish Adornment Set 1'
This beautiful corner piece is Dusty Attic 'Floral Corners' chipboard.  I coloured it up using my Luminarte 'Silks' paints and then added a few more Petaloo blooms and Green Tara mini roses.
For my title, I inked up a mini WOW chipboard word and added some stickers from my stash.

For my last layout I used photos of an old rusted car we discovered on a recent road trip.
I used another new Crafters Workshop stencil called 'Mini Organic Matter mask', also designed by Gabrielle Pollacco (one clever lady I'd say).  This time I teamed my stencil up with Prima 'Copper Crackle' Texture paste.  I lightly sprayed my piece of background paper with water and crumpled it up.  Once it dried, I just smoothed it out and inked the bumps and edges for some instant rustic texture. :)

Some corrugated card and an old car I cut from one of the patterned papers.
Some Petaloo blooms again and this time teamed up with Dusty Attic 'Foliage #3' chipboard.
I just love the old fuel pump to the right of the car that says 'Last Fill'. :)
I hope you made it through the whole post.  It seems to be my thing lately to leave everything for one post.  If you are here, I thank you for visiting and for any comments you might leave. It's always very appreciated.
Until next time.

7 Dots Studio 'Lost and Found' for The Scrapbook Store

Hi everyone. I have one BIG post today to share what I've done for The Scrapbook Store during September.  I loved working with the new 7 Dots Studio 'Lost and Found' collection.  The earthy colours of this range was right up my street as I was dying to use some photos that I knew would fit perfectly.  For my first layout I used a photo that my hubby took of the Richmond Bridge, during out recent holiday to Tasmania.  It was built in 1823 and is the oldest bridge in Australia that is still in use today.
I have layered lots of tags from the tag sheet here.  More layers were added using Blue Fern 'Rock Wall Bits' chipboard, 2 Crafty 'Mini Branches' chipboard, Petaloo blooms, Green Tara mini roses, together with plasterer's tape and some stamping.
For the next layout I used photos of a place very dear to my heart... the farm where I grew up.  It's been in the family for many generations and my brother and his family currently lives there.  I've backed my photos with pieces from the 'Sticky Notes' pattern paper and added a few tags.
The windmill has been in my stash for quite some time waiting for the right layout. :)  I think it's from Kaisercraft.  I've given it a few layers of paint to give it a rusty effect.
The arrows and tickets are all from the Die Cut Sheet and the word strips from the Word Stickers Sheet.
I've added some texture to my background using the Crafters Workshop 'Mini Chickenwire Reversed' template with texture paste.
The fence and leaves have also been in my stash for a while. I've teamed it up with some Petaloo blooms, Prima flowers and Green Tara mini roses.
The hearts are from the Die Cut Sheet too.
I've also made a card with some of the left overs. :)
A close up to show some of the layers.
My last layout is of hubby and I at a concert in Kings Park about a year ago.  It was such a great evening and the weather was perfect.  I love the 'Typewriter' pattern paper with all the sums and number words.  In this case 1 + 1 = 2 made perfect sense. :)
I've used a variety of stamps on my background and added a few strips of washi tape.
The Blue Fern Studios 'Grid Pieces' worked perfectly here.
I've added texture to the background using various parts of the Crafters Workshop 'Mini Specimens' stencil with texture paste.  After drying I then highlighted the designs using Luminarte 'Sunflower' H2o.
The title is one of the 2 Crafty 'Selfie Word pack'.
A few Petaloo blooms for the final layer. :)
Phew! I'm exhausted. Lol! I always plan to do more regular shorter posts, but I seem to run out of time and then this is what you get.  I hope I could inspire you in some way to give this collection a try.
That's my bit for today.  Hope you are all doing well and are enjoying the warmer Spring weather (if you live in the southern hemisphere).
Until next time.

Authentique 'Classique Beauty' for The Scrapbook Store

Hi, I'm back to share another layout using the Authentique 'Classique Beauty' collection.  I have thoroughly enjoyed working with this collection this month for The Scrapbook Store.  This time I've done a very clean and simple page using a beautiful photo of my daughter.

These Petaloo flowers are some of my favourites and come in great range of colours. I just added a few Green Tara mini roses and some 2Crafty chipboard leaves to complete my cluster.
I've used a Scrap FX chipboard title, which I inked in black before giving it a coat of Glossy Accents.  The 'Small Garden Daisies' chipboard is from Blue Fern Studios and I've given it a similar treatment as my title by using Tim Holtz Distress Inks to give it some colour and finishing it off with a coat of Glossy Accents.
All papers and stickers are from the Classique Beauty collection and all products used are available from The Scrapbook Store.
That's all for today.  Thank you once again for visiting and have a lovely (short) week.  Wishing you all a wonderful and blessed Easter break.
Until next time!

More of Authentique 'Classique Beauty'

Hi everyone! I'm back with another share working with the gorgeous Authentique 'Classique Beauty' collection for The Scrapbook Store.  As the name would suggest it is primarily a feminine collection, but nothing like a challenge hey?  I've decided to use a photo of my son and I and wanted to try and keep the layout masculine as far as possible.  I thought I could get away with a few flowers because I was in the photo too. ;)

A close up of my little cluster of Petaloo flowers, Green Tara Mini roses and stickers.  I had great fun tearing some washi tape into thin strips to add a bit of red to my layout.
The light bulb is from 2 Crafty and the arrows are Prima crystals from my stash.
I've created my background using a Tim Holtz 'Dot Fade' stencil and texture paste and then added layers with different stamps from Tim Holtz and Prima. The 2Crafty 'Interlocking Grid Panel' chipboard looked great with just a layer of black ink.
I was inspired by the gorgeous mood board at Scrap Around The World. The quote is pretty much how this photo makes me feel and the yellow just matched perfectly. I also thought that the  arrows were a nice touch.
That's all I have for today, but will be back soon with another creation or two.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog. Have a wonderful day.
Until next time.

Authentique 'Classique Beauty'

I am working with the gorgeous new Authentique 'Classique Beauty' for my DT work for The Scrapbook Store this month.  Here is my first layout.  I've used a photo of my DD and one of my best friends, taken on Christmas Day 2014.
I've used a piece of the Blue Fern Studio 'Roman Clocks Small' chipboard and some delicious Petaloo 'Burlap Wild Sunflowers' and Petaloo 'Dahlias'.  The butterflies are also from Petaloo and the mini roses are from Green Tara.

The chipboard title is from 2Crafty.  After covering it with a thin layer of gesso, I gave it some colour using my Tim Holtz Distress Inks.
A close up of the other little flower cluster, showing off another gorgeous Petaloo burlop flower and a few Green Tara Mini roses.  The rhinestone flourish is an old Prima flourish from my stash.
Another close up, just for good measure. :)

I've decided to play along at Scrap Africa this month, as the colours from their mood board are just so inspiring and perfect for this collection.  They also have some amazing inspiration up on the blog, so why not check it out and play along?
That's all from me for today.  I'm busy working on another layout using this collection, so will hopefully be back to share soon.  Thank you so much for popping by my blog. Have a lovely day.
Until next time.
