Blue Fern Studios 'Timeless' for The Scrapbook Store

Just wanted to grab this short break in my schedule to share my February DT work for The Scrapbook Store. Wow! It's almost the end of March I hear you say!!  I know, the first few months of 2016 have been so very busy already and I've got so much more planned for the rest of the year! :)
Okay, straight to the point then. ;)  I got to work with the stunning new Blue Fern Studios 'Timeless' collection.  The first layout is of my gorgeous girl and I. She was busy taking selfies of the two of us during our recent holiday, when my husband snapped this pic of us. :)
I simply love this 'Floral Arrows Crossed' chipboard from Your Creative Wings. I've coloured it up using my ink pads and then added some muslin and a few mini roses to the mix.
Here I've built a little cluster using more of the same elements and the same chipboard set, but also added a charm and a Kaisercraft bloom.  I've added some Prima 'Micro Beads' in Bronze using Prima '3D Matte Gel'.  The butterfly was cut from one of the patterned papers.
The title is from the Dusty Attic 'Mini Captions #3' chipboard set.  I love these gorgeous small titles.

More roses in all forms and sizes, repeating elements from the other clusters.
The following layout is of my dear mum and I during our visit to them in December.  We live more than 9000 km apart and every moment spent together is perfect and very precious.
My cluster are made out of Petaloo 'Forget Me Nots' in Antique Mauve and a big Green Tara 'Azalea' in Antique Pink. I've also added Craft Consortium resin florals in 'Rose Blush' and a few white Green Tara mini roses.  I've cut the leaves from one of the patterned papers using the Memory Box 'Fresh Foliage' die.
I've fussy cut some flowers from one of the papers to add to the bottom left corner. Also added a strip of Green Tara lace and a Kaisercraft pearl strip underneath the photo. :)
One of my favourite doily dies must be this one from Cheery Lynn called 'French Pastry'.  It complemented the rest of the design and all I had to do was add the title.
This card was made using some of my left overs.  I love adding corrugated cardboard to my projects and it perfectly matched these papers and the gorgeous Green Tara 'Linen Look' trim.  The sentiment was cut using the Elzabeth Craft Design 'Happy Birthday' die.
That's all I have for now, but will be back to share my March layouts soon. Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my blog. Wishing you a wonderful Easter.

Until next time.

Ultimate Crafts 'Australiana' for The Scrapbook Store

Hi there scrappy people. Today I want to share my October DT work for The Scrapbook Store with you.  I was lucky enough to work with the gorgeous new Ultimate Crafts 'Australiana' collection.  This collection was ideal for my local travel photos and all those country shots we always take.
Here is my first layout. The photo was taken on the way between Perth and Kalgoorlie earlier this year.
I used a chipboard flourish from the 2Crafty 'Flourish Adornment Set 1'.  I painted it in dark brown and then heat embossed it randomly using gold embossing powder.  The white flowers were fussy cut from one of the patterned papers in the range. The other flowers are from Petaloo and Green Tara mini roses.
I added some corrugated cardstock to add to the rustic feeling. ;)
And a vintage clock charm and some twine to round things off.
I've also coloured up some Dusty Attic 'mini dragonflies' with my Distress markers.
My next layout has a bit more colour to it.  This was the first holiday home we rented in Margaret River 10 years ago when my parents came to visit us.  It really was the perfect 'little' house and we still think very fondly of this holiday.  All the background stenciling were done using the gorgeous new Crafters Workshop 'mini Tuscan Wall' stencil, designed by the very talented Gabrielle Pollacco.
The bigger flowers in the cluster are Kaisercraft paper blooms and the little ones are from Petaloo and Green Tara mini roses.  I've added another chipboard flourish from the 2Crafty 'Flourish Adornment Set 1'
This beautiful corner piece is Dusty Attic 'Floral Corners' chipboard.  I coloured it up using my Luminarte 'Silks' paints and then added a few more Petaloo blooms and Green Tara mini roses.
For my title, I inked up a mini WOW chipboard word and added some stickers from my stash.

For my last layout I used photos of an old rusted car we discovered on a recent road trip.
I used another new Crafters Workshop stencil called 'Mini Organic Matter mask', also designed by Gabrielle Pollacco (one clever lady I'd say).  This time I teamed my stencil up with Prima 'Copper Crackle' Texture paste.  I lightly sprayed my piece of background paper with water and crumpled it up.  Once it dried, I just smoothed it out and inked the bumps and edges for some instant rustic texture. :)

Some corrugated card and an old car I cut from one of the patterned papers.
Some Petaloo blooms again and this time teamed up with Dusty Attic 'Foliage #3' chipboard.
I just love the old fuel pump to the right of the car that says 'Last Fill'. :)
I hope you made it through the whole post.  It seems to be my thing lately to leave everything for one post.  If you are here, I thank you for visiting and for any comments you might leave. It's always very appreciated.
Until next time.

April Sketch Challenge at The Scrapbook Store

Where has the time gone? My boy is home for the 2 week uni holiday and my girl and hubby are home too, so I think there are too many distractions and lovely things to do.  Hubby and I also celebrated our 25the wedding anniversary on Tuesday and a few friends and I organised a surprise 50th birthday party on Saturday for another friend.  With all the extra activities, no wonder I'm not getting time for blogging. :)
A bit on the late side, but today I want to share the April Sketch at The Scrapbook Store with you.

Here is my example, using the gorgeous new Bo Bunny 'Garden Journal' collection.  You might recognise some (or all 3) of the lovely ladies in the photo. :)
The fence is from Dusty Attic and I've treated it with a layer of brown acrylic paint followed by a layer of white crackle paint.
The banner was fussy cut from one of the patterned papers in this collection and the title is an older Heidi Swapp alpha set that I coloured up using Distress ink.
I have used a variety of Prima flowers and Green Tara mini roses. The leaves were punched from cardstock using a Martha Stewart punch.
All products are from The Scrapbook Store.  I hope you get a chance to play along with us. There's a $40 store voucher up for grabs and it also includes free postage. The winner gets determined by random draw, so anybody can win.  You have until the end of April to get your entries in. Good luck!
That's all for today. Thank you so much for visiting. Have an absolute wonderful week!
Until next time.

May Sketch challenge at The Scrapbook Store

Hi everyone!  Hope you all had a great weekend.  Just want to share the new May sketch from The Scrapbook Store with you.  It's a beautiful sketch from PageMaps.
And here is my example.  I don't often do male pages, as I'm not very comfortable with it, but I really enjoyed doing this one.  The pics are of my DH taken during a recent holiday and I just love how relaxed he looks. :)
The chipboard pieces are from Dusty Attic and the flowers from Manor House and Prima
I love adding hessian and muslin to my layouts. :)
A close up of the background texture I've created using the Crafters Workshop 'Mini Cubist' template and some Texture Magic.
I hope you get a chance to play along.  There's a $40 store voucher (with free postage) up for grabs and the winner gets determined by random draw, which means anybody can win!!  You have until the end of the month to get your entry in!
Okay, I'm off to get ready for the new week.  Hopefully Monday will be kind to us all!
Thank you for popping by and for all your lovely comments.  I really appreciate it.
Until next time!

A cool new sketch at Scrap Africa

Hi there everyone!  First I want to apologise for being so scarce arounde web lately.  There are several things that are causing delays on my side, but I won't bore you with the details.  I am planning a bit of a catch up in the next few days. ;)  Today I want to share the cool May Sketch at Scrap Africa with you.
And my example.  The background paper is from an older My Minds Eye collection.  I love these photos of DH and I.  His sister took them while we were on holiday in March this year. :)

I've added some Dusty Attic chipboard, a Pink Paislee burlap flower and some of the new Green Tara Heirloom Blooms.  They come in the most amazing colours. :)

More flowers... this time Green Tara Mini Roses and Kaisercraft Mini paper blooms.
Another close up showing some of the texture created with the Prima 'Chevron' mask, some muslin and an old pizza box. Lol!
