More Jillibean Soup 'Summer Red Raspberry Soup'

Hi there everyone! I am on the fly today, so just wanted to quickly pop in to share more of my DT work for The Scrapbook Store working with the beautiful Jillibean Soup 'Summer Red Raspberry Soup' collection. The layout below is about 2 very cute 'muffin monsters'. We met with some friends for breakfast a few weeks ago and these two little rascals consumed a whole lot of muffins between the two of them.  I thought that these papers had just the right amount of fun to match the photos. :)
The flowers are from Prima and the wood veneers is part of this collection.
This photo shows the heap of empty muffin casings/wrappers. Lol!
More wood veneer butterflies and flowers, which I coloured up using my new Prima Watercolor pencils. I've also added a few enamel dots from my stash.
More wood veneer as well as some Pea Pod Parts and Soup Labels.
I've also made two cards using my left overs. I am not a great card maker, but do enjoy creating the odd card now and again.  This first card features few Green Tara mini roses, a Prima flower and butterfly as well as a gorgeous border that was cut using a Joy! Crafts die. Finished it off with a bit of seam binding and a wood veneer heart. :)

For the next card, I've used another Joy Crafts die. Everything else, except for the epoxy shapes and seam binding are from the 'Summer Red Raspberry Soup' collection.

That's all for today, and as hubby and I are leaving for a 12 day trip to Tasmania tomorrow night, it will be my last post for a short while. I hope you are all having a beautiful week and thank you so much for popping in.
Until next time!

Scrap Africa Challenge No 29

Hi everyone!  Hope you are enjoying a relaxing weekend wherever you are.
Today I want to share Scrap Africa's new challenge with you.  The card makers will love this one!
The challenge is to create a masculine AND a feminine card.  For wonderful inspiration from the DT and to get all the details, have a look HERE.
I have used the Maja Design 'Vintage Autumn Basics' collection for my cards.  It's a stunning collection with the most beautiful soft patterns.  I've added a Prima resin birdhouse and Prima button, as well as a Petaloo bloom and some Green Tara mini roses

I've used the brown tones of the collection for my male card.  Just added a 2Crafty 'Clock Face frame', a few Tim Holtz metal gears and a couple of die cuts. All products are available at The Scrapbook Store.

I hope you'll get a chance to play along.  There are some awesome prices up for grabs.  It will be great to see your entries.
Thank you so much for popping past my blog.
Until next time!

Believe

My poor neglected blog! I've been SO busy with all things non-scrappy that I had no time to scap for over 2 weeks. Things are starting to slow down a little... for the next week anyway. I have so many deadlines to meet, so I better get scrapping! Lol! Just want to share another layout I created with my DT kit from Handmade by Suzanne. I've decided to play along with Stuck Sketches again, doing their 15th March challenge this time. Here is the sketch:
Here is my take on it. :)  I've used the Simple Stories 'Fabulous' range.  I purposely went for a boyish layout (Lol! Well sort of!) as  I love the orange and turqouise in this collection. I made use of the opportunity to use my Crafters Workshop 'Mini Gears' template too. Oh, and my Martha Stewart 'Swirling Lace' Punch Around the Page set got a bit of attention too. :)
The flowers are a mixture of old and new Prima as well as another little handmade one.  The new range of Prima flowers are all so beautiful, it's so hard to choose!  The leaves were made using my MS frond punch.
I just love all the the Prima wooden buttons that's available now.  Perfect for those boy pages.  The new Kaisercraft word rubons are lovely too. I have used the word 'believe' in 2 places.
It was my boy's 19th birthday on Monday, so I made him a quick card using the Echo Park 'Times & Seasons' collection. I have used this range for so many projects already and I still think it's one of my favourites. :)
Hope you are all having a fantastic week.  I will be doing my rounds on the blogs soon.  I apologise for not leaving much love on your blogs during the last couple of weeks. :(
Thank you so much for visiting!
Until next time.

More Christmas goodness...

Happy Friday everyone! Just want to share a few Christmas cards and layout before I go to bed. :)  I've created with the gorgeous Simple Stories '25 Days to Christmas' collection and it really was so easy to use. Love the touches of black in this range. The leaves were punched using the Martha Stewart 'Branch' punch. The flowers are Green Tara Mini Roses and the twill ribbon is from the shop too.
With this one I punched a strip of the same colour cardstock using the Martha Stewart 'Vine Trim' punch. Quite like the 'embossed' effect it gives. :)
This one was pretty straight forward using satin ribbon and the Martha Stewart 'Doily Lace' border punch.
And a layout capturing my goofy kids on Christmas Eve 2008. I've used an old Crafter's Workshop template and some Glimmer Mist to create the circles and dots on the background. The rubons are old ones from Kaisercraft that I had in my ever growing stash and the button was covered using HBS 'Christmas' Fabric Scraps and a self cover button tool kit from the shop.
There are heaps more Christmas creations from the very talented Design Team in the Handmade by Suzanne Gallery to inspire you. You can check it out here.
Thank you so much for visiting. Have a wonderful weekend.
Until next time.

Random post

Hehe... just using the Crate Paper 'Random' collection, which I love by the way. :)  I haven't realised that I haven't blog for so long.  Must mean I had a great weekend. :)  In fact, it was quite a relaxed weekend. Lol! Everybody in Perth went to see the Queen, except for me. Friday was a public holiday for WA, because of CHOGM and DH took Monday off as well. It was great having him home for 4 days. :) He works way too hard. :(
Now, back to 'Random'. The first one I created for Sue's October challenge at Scrapbooking Top 50. The criteria were Pink, Petals and Pearls. The pics are of my DD not long after her 16th birthday. :)
And a close up of some of the fussy cutting.
I've used my new Martha Stewart 'Swirling Lace' punch to cut the borders and used my Tim Holtz Mini Rosettes die for the blue rossette.
A homemade denim banner and loads of pearls.
This one was pretty much created using the papers and Chipboard Accents from this range.
Some fussy cutting. :)
Some of the yummy chipboard accents.
 More fussy cutting.
And a card using some of the left overs with a bit of Crate Paper 'Farmhouse' in the mix. This was based on a sketch for Vicki's October challenge at Top 50.
Phew! What a long post. Hope you made it to here. Will try and do more regular post in the future and keep it shorter.  Thanks for visiting and have a great week!
Until next time!

A quick share

Oh, if only there were more hours in the day...
Just want to do a quick share of layouts I've done over the weekend and completed yesterday.  First is a layout using my DT pack from Handmade by Suzanne.  I've picked out all the non-girly papers and created this page of DS and I.  This is my entry for Bird is the Word's challenge using the word LOVE.
I've cut all the hearts using a Spellbinder die and then handstitched in straight lines using embroidery thread. I have seen another scrapper using a similar idea on their layout a while back, but I'm sorry that I can't remember who it was. :(

This simple card was  made with some of the left overs of my DT pack. Love that seam binding. :)

And a 'Just Because' layout I did with some older MME Stella & Rose 'Hattie' papers. My DH took this gorgeous pic on Australia Day 2007 as the sun was setting over Perth City.
I've used white and blue paint to create the cloud effect and the sun was cut using my Silhouette maching.
A cluster of flowers that I cut from one of the pattern papers.
And a self cover button from Handmade by Suzanne that I covered in blue star fabric to represent the Aussie flag.
That's all for today. I've got to run. So much to do and so little time....
I am so looking forward to the Handmade by Suzanne Retreat this coming weekend! A whole weekend of uninterrupted scrapping. Yay!
My next post will probably only be after the weekend and I hope I'll have a lot to share...  Lol! That's if I can stop chatting and get some scrapping done. :)
Thanks for stopping by and for your beautiful comments.  They are very appreciated!
Until next time!

Catch up time!

I haven't been on here for ages!! I've been so busy and it feels like I haven't really done much.  Not a great feeling, but I suppose that how it goes some times.  I do have some scrappy stuff to share though.  First is a card that I made with my left over papers from my DT kit at Handmade by Suzanne.  By the way, I LOVE these papers! :)
I've used Kaisercraft 'Velvet Ensemble' pattern papers, Kraft cardstock, Kaisercraft 'Moments' rubons and WRMK Sew Easy Stitch Piercer.   All products are available from 'Handmade by Suzanne'.
Next is a layout I've done for one of Scrapbooking Top 50's monthly challenges.  The pic is of my mum with my DS and DD taken in July 2007.  I've converted the photo to a pencil sketch and printed it on canvas.
I've used Cosmo Cricket 'Odds and Ends' for this.  This is such a beautiful range and all available here.
The following layout I finished about a week ago.  These little guys belong to a friend of mine and they are just the cutest.  I was so happy to get some photos from her to scrap as I love to scrap little ones sometimes and don't have many unscrapped pics of my kids when they were little left.  It was before the digital stage. :)
I've used the Kaisercraft 'Party Animal' Collection. I bought two of the background papers and fussy cut the animal stack on the left to lift it with some double sided tape.  This way I could also add a banner to the one that was already printed on the paper.
Love the little animals and they are so easy to fussy cut too.
I think I will stop here for today.  There is one more layout to share but I will keep that for another day. I'm hoping to get a bit more done during the next month, although we have something planned for all the weekends in August already. I'm sure it will be exhausting but a lot of fun. :)
Hope to catch up with all my favourite blogs soon.
Thanks for popping by and have a great week!

Days gone by

Hi everybody! Just a quick post to share some scrappy stuff. Truth is, this layout has been lying on my table for about 10 days now, waiting for the finishing touches... *blush*... I've used Echo Park 'For the Record' pattern papers and stickers, Dusty Attic 'Chicken Wire' and 'Bird bath' chipboard, Kaisercraft pearl flourish, Gllimmer Mist and some brand new Prima flowers. You can find all these products here. The pic is of my dad's cousin's two children back in 1963. Love all the old photos at the moment A close up of my little cluster. Just look at those gorgeous new Prima flowers. :) And I've made this card for my son's 18th birthday last Saturday. It was a very quick card and bit more grungy than my normal style, but he loved it! Used Cosmo Cricket 'Circa 1934', some twine and a bottle cap. All available form Handmade by Suzanne.

That's all for today! Thanks for visiting. I hope you are having a great week. Until next time. :)

Almost weekend!

Just a few DT layouts to share today. I can't tell you enough how much I've enjoyed working with this range. :) The first one is DH and I during a holiday last year. DD took the photo. (She's getting very good behind the camera). I've used the MME Stella and Rose 'Gertie' range with some Dusty Attic chipboard, OA Mini Market alpha stickers, AC Thickers and other bits and pieces. You will find all the products at 'Handmade by Suzanne'.
A close up of my embellie cluster. I cut the pink flower on my Silhouette machine. Cute hey? Those gorgeous brads are from the same MME range.
Anther layout using the same range. The sun and tree was cut on my Silhouette machine using AC cardstock. Cab you tell I'm trying to get more use out of my machines. ;)
And now a card using some of my left overs. Just love the stickers in this range.
Thats all from me. I'm off to go and look at everybody else's blogs to get inspiration for my next layout! I hope you've had a good week and have something special planned for the weekend.
Thank you for dropping by and for your lovely comments.

20th Anniversary

Hi all my scrappy friends. I've done some more creating this weekend. This is another layout using the fabulous Kaisercraft 'After Five' Collection. This time I used a pic of DH and myself on our 20th wedding anniversary last year. I thought to add a bit of red to make it a bit more modern. The black and white doilies were cut on my Silhouette machine.
All the products used are available at Handmade by Suzanne.
A close up of the flower cluster. Those Kaisercraft paper blooms are just devine!
Lol! And my new MS punch got a work out again. :)
and I just love these little alpha stickers from Basic Grey. They are great for long titles!
And a card I made with some of my left overs. The black 'Band & Bow' ribbon is just perfect for anything formal looking.
That's all for now. I hope you've all enjoyed a great weekend with your families. Have a great week and thanks for popping by my little blog.
