Days gone by
Hi everybody! Just a quick post to share some scrappy stuff. Truth is, this layout has been lying on my table for about 10 days now, waiting for the finishing touches... *blush*... I've used Echo Park 'For the Record' pattern papers and stickers, Dusty Attic 'Chicken Wire' and 'Bird bath' chipboard, Kaisercraft pearl flourish, Gllimmer Mist and some brand new Prima flowers. You can find all these products here. The pic is of my dad's cousin's two children back in 1963. Love all the old photos at the moment A close up of my little cluster. Just look at those gorgeous new Prima flowers. :) And I've made this card for my son's 18th birthday last Saturday. It was a very quick card and bit more grungy than my normal style, but he loved it! Used Cosmo Cricket 'Circa 1934', some twine and a bottle cap. All available form Handmade by Suzanne.

HBS March Sketch
Hi there everybody! I've been a bit of a bad blogger this week. :( Life is a bit hectic at the moment but will hopefully get under control after the end of the month.
I just want to share the March sketch over at Handmade by Suzanne with you. Suzanne has increased the prize to a $30 gift voucher and the winner gets determined by a random draw which means anybody can win! You've still got a week left to get it done, so why not give it a go... Just think of all the yummy goodies you can get for $30!
Here's the gorgeous sketch designed by our very own Michelle Fowler.
And here is my take on it. I've used Cosmo Cricket 'Circa 1934' pattern papers, Bazzil cardstock, Kaisercraft Pearl flourish, BG Basics mini alpha stickers, Dusty Attic pocket watch chipboard, AC Tickers and inkpad. All the products are available at Handmade by Suzanne.
The pic is of my mom's best friend, Anchen, who passsed away in 2001 shortly after being diagnosed with cancer. My mom still misses her every day.
Well, that's all for today! I hope you are all having a good week... and tomorrow is Friday... Yay!! Thank you for visiting my little blog and for your lovely comments. I appreciate them all.
Until next time. xx

"There is no greater gift...
...than today." That's the the saying you have to include on your layout if you are playing along at 'Kraft It Up' this month. I think its such a beautiful qoute and there are at least a hundred photos I could use with it. I decided to go with this one of my two kids and myself. As anyone with teenagers will know, you don't often get kisses from them at this age. Well, that's if you can call that a kiss what DS is giving me here. Lol! Always the clown. :)
I thoroughly enjoyed doing this layout. I used a doilie I bought from an Op Shop and cut a circle from my newly purchased denim fabric. I used a scrap piece of red fabric to mat my photo and cut a flower and the word 'today' from denim too. The little crocheted flower was made by me and the red buttons are from my stash. In fact, I think the only scrappy items I've used in this layout is my sheet of Kraft cardstock, the little red paper flowers and the mini alpha stickers in my title! That must be a record for me!

Almost weekend!
Just a few DT layouts to share today. I can't tell you enough how much I've enjoyed working with this range. :) The first one is DH and I during a holiday last year. DD took the photo. (She's getting very good behind the camera). I've used the MME Stella and Rose 'Gertie' range with some Dusty Attic chipboard, OA Mini Market alpha stickers, AC Thickers and other bits and pieces. You will find all the products at 'Handmade by Suzanne'.
A close up of my embellie cluster. I cut the pink flower on my Silhouette machine. Cute hey? Those gorgeous brads are from the same MME range.

Anther layout using the same range. The sun and tree was cut on my Silhouette machine using AC cardstock. Cab you tell I'm trying to get more use out of my machines. ;)
And now a card using some of my left overs. Just love the stickers in this range.
Thats all from me. I'm off to go and look at everybody else's blogs to get inspiration for my next layout! I hope you've had a good week and have something special planned for the weekend.
Thank you for dropping by and for your lovely comments.

MME Stella and Rose...
OMG! I think I'm in love.... with the new MME collections! Lol! These pp's are seriously so beautiful it increases my heart rate everytime I look at it! And the embellies are to die for. This is my first DT layout for Handmade by Suzanne this month. I kept it fairly simple because I didn't think it needed much... the papers are SO stunning. I've used the MME Stella & Rose 'Gertie' Collection. The Prima blossom branch is from my own stash. Everything else is available HERE. When I saw the die-cut title I thought of my DD straight away. You know how teenagers (and adults) can doubt themselves sometimes... she is such a gem. Love her to bits. :)
A close up of the butterfly. I cut it on my Cricut machine, inked the edges and added some pearls.

A close up of the gorgeous Prima blossom branch. I lurve Prima and can't wait for the new stock to arrive at HBS.
Thats all for today. I can't wait to create more layouts with these gorgeous papers. Tomorrow we have to clean out the shed though. :( The temperature in Perth has finally dropped under 30 degrees today and tomorrow should be the same. Got to use the opportunity when you get it.
Just want to thank all my scrappy friends for your good wishes after my bee sting. The swelling is right down and I feel so much better. :)
Hope you are having a fab weekend.
Until next time.

All grown up...
Hi there. I hope you are having a good week so far. I just want to do a quick share of this layout I did on the weekend. Its for the Scrapbooking Top 50 February CC and the challenge was set by Sarah, Guest DT member for February. We had to use Black and White + one other colour. I've used some old Kaiser "Loire Valley' Collection and the birdcage is from Kaisercraft too. The pic is of DS on his way to his Year 12 Ball in March last year.
A close up of that gorgeous Kaiser birdcage.

And another close up.
Thats all for today. Don't know when I'll be productive again... While I was hanging the washing out yesterday I got stung by a bee and my hand is so puffed up its not funny. Got something from the chemist today to try and get the swelling down because its so sore and uncomfortable to use.
Oh well, I'm sure I'll be back to normal in no time.
