"There is no greater gift...

...than today." That's the the saying you have to include on your layout if you are playing along at 'Kraft It Up' this month. I think its such a beautiful qoute and there are at least a hundred photos I could use with it. I decided to go with this one of my two kids and myself. As anyone with teenagers will know, you don't often get kisses from them at this age. Well, that's if you can call that a kiss what DS is giving me here. Lol! Always the clown. :)
I thoroughly enjoyed doing this layout. I used a doilie I bought from an Op Shop and cut a circle from my newly purchased denim fabric. I used a scrap piece of red fabric to mat my photo and cut a flower and the word 'today' from denim too. The little crocheted flower was made by me and the red buttons are from my stash. In fact, I think the only scrappy items I've used in this layout is my sheet of Kraft cardstock, the little red paper flowers and the mini alpha stickers in my title! That must be a record for me!

A close up of the different alpha stickers, the stitching and fabric.
My denim title.:)
Hope you are all having a great week. Thanks for visiting my blog and for your lovely comments.
Till next time.

Oh wow I love the combination for the doily and denim almost like boy and girl embellishments as I feel the denim is boy and the doily is girl and I pray I am still getting kisses from Nate when he is your children's age. What a stunning photo. Melxx
