Cute little guy

I hope all my Aussie blog readers had a great Australia Day yesterday.  It was terribly hot here in Perth with a maximum of 42 C, so I decided to stay home and scrap a bit. :)
I really like the look of the sketch over at 'Get Picky' so I decided to play along. The pics are of my friend's little boy! Isn't he just the cutest?!!
I've used the Kaisercraft 'Sweet Nothings' collection for this and although it is mainly a very feminine looking range I tried to 'male' it up a bit. Here is a couple of close ups.  I punched the face of one of the little cupids out from the pattern paper and made this cute bottle cap. The covered button is from 'Lovelybug Bits n Bobs' and the doily is from my stash.
As you've probably noticed, I love adding hessian and twine to my male layouts!
I've stuck the dove sticker onto some cardstock, cut around it and then gave it a lift with some foam tape. :)
That's all for today. You have until tomorrow night if you want to give this challenge a go.
Thank you so much for visiting and have a great weekend!
Until next time!

What a great boy page, you made that range perfect for your LO. Adding hessian is a great idea, might see it in my boy LOs now :).

Hello gorgeous girl!! what a wonderful layout and just how cute is that baby boy!!!. I can see why you loved the sketch, it is so different. You definitely achieve the male look. I love your use of hessian and twine. Love all of the embellishments too. I'm sorry it is so hot there hun, it is the opposite in England, it's very cold, although the sun has come out today for a change!!!. You take care lovely and will be back again soon. Hugs Clare xxx

You HAVE had it hot in Perth lately, haven't you!

I adore the layout - I wouldn't have guessed that the papers came from a girly range. The layout comes off deliciously male and vintage. Love the addition of the hessian!

Thanks for the blog love. Year 12 hey? Wow. We walked past all the new reception kids this morning (it was their first day today) and they all looked so little. That was us last year. It reminded me how fast the last year sped by. Jamie will be in Year 12 before I know it! And I WILL be old ;).
