New year! New layouts!

Hi there blog friends!  Hope you all enjoyed a wonderful Christmas and New Year!  Our little family had a lovely time catching up with friends and just enjoying each others company while hubby was on leave.  Unfortunately for us, we couldn't spend any time with family this year, but that's just the way it is sometimes. :(  I managed to fit in some scrappy time too.  My DT pack from The Scrapbook Store was just too enticing to ignore! Lol!  I received the Kaisercraft 'Marigold' collection this month and I love it.  The following layout is based on one of Kaisercraft's sketches for December, but I didn't get around to posting it by the due date.  I used some photos of my friend's little man.   Just love all these fun pics of him.  I am not a hundred percent happy with how my photos turned out, so might think of retaking them tomorrow.
A little close up of some of the layers.  Can you believe that there isn't a single flower in sight?!
I had loads of fun using the fun elements from the 'Collectables' pack.
Another fun little banner. :)
My second layout... going a bit more floral this time. :)  The photo is of the kids and I with my parents while on holiday in 2005.  I wanted to use this beautiful piece of pattern paper but didn't want to cover it up too much. So decided to cut a circle out in the middle and put my photo behind instead. Added some Kaisercraft paper blooms and a pearl flourish to finish it off. :)
A close up of my title and great little quote that was included in the sticker sheet.
I have set myself the mammoth task of tyding up my scrap room this month.  I have loads of stash that I will never get to use, so I think there will be a HUGE giveaway coming up soon. Watch this space! :)
For now it is over and out from me.  Thank you for visiting and I hope you are having an awesome week. :)
Until next time!

All my pages of my son have no flowers on them as according to him they are for girls. :-) I love the page you have created and how you fitted so many photos on the one page.
What a great idea to put the photo behind to show off the paper especially with the rolling of the edges.
Happy new Year, hope it's one full of joy.

Beautiful pages! So glad you had a nice holiday time. Traveling is very expensive & it's not always possible to trek across the world I know. Good luck with the tidy up. I'm there too :(
